This preloaded, offshore chartplotter combines the power of networking with brilliant color and slim-line design. The GPSMAP 4208 has preloaded BlueChart g2 maps of the U.S. coast and displays them on an 8.4 (21.34 cm) VGA display with video-quality resolution. By connecting to the Garmin Marine Network, you can add sonar, radar and weather. For even more enhanced features, you can add the optional Bluechart g2 Vision card (sold separately).

View Detailed Graphics and Video

The 4208 features highly-detailed BlueChart g2 marine cartography of the coastal U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii and the Bahamas. This data provides detailed coastlines, shaded depth contours, navaids, port plans, wrecks, restricted areas and tide and current information. For other areas, the 4208 has a worldwide basemap with high-quality satellite images in place of more traditional maps. With the SD card slot, you can add additional maps without having to connect to a computer.

The 4208s high-speed processor draws maps quickly, and its simple intuitive interface makes navigating easy. To keep tabs on your engine room or other area of your boat, you also can connect a live video feed with the 4208s video input and output options.

To get you from point A to point B, the StreetPilot i2 includes a MapSource City Select North America NT DVD, which contains mapping detail of the entire U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The DVD's nearly six million points of interest range from hotels and restaurants to gas stations and ATMs, along with local attractions such as amusement parks and museums. Simply load the City Select data onto the included 128 MB Transflash data card via a fast USB connection and you're set.

As an added benefit, you can now import customized points of interest with the help of Garmin's free POI Loader software. For instance, you can upload safety cameras or school zones, and then receive a warning if you are traveling too fast in these areas. In addition, an optional proximity-alert feature notifies you of upcoming custom POIs.

Maps are displayed on the i2's high-contrast backlit FSTN monochrome display, which includes a backlight for difficult lighting conditions. Motorists even have the choice of multiple perspectives--either a 3-D mapping angle or an overhead bird's-eye view. For added convenience, drivers can power the unit with either two AA batteries (six hours, typical use) or the included 12-volt adapter cable.

The sensor gives you a view of the fish, the bottom, and the underwater structure right where your line is, in real time. The unit not only helps you find fish--it also contributes to your boating safety.

The remote sonar sensor uses an internal sonar transducer to collect and wirelessly transmit data to the display. Whether you're casting from the bank, a dock, a kayak, a canoe, or a float tube, SmartCast is ready to perform. Its impressive, 100-foot radius extends down as well as around, giving you an ultra-wide coverage equal to twice your depth (down to 100 feet of water, of course). A one-touch menu navigation controls fish ID, depth range, fish alarm, and sensitivity. The 8 AA battery-powered display itself is lightweight, compact, and totally waterproof and even offers a backlight for night fishing.

Wet Switch technology maximizes battery life by shutting down the display whenever the remote sonar sensor is out of water. The user-replaceable remote sonar sensor gives you around 400 hours of in-water use. An A/B channel option lets you use two remote sonar sensors in the same area at the same time for greater coverage (additional purchase required, sensor model number RF40). The base unit, which supports the display, comes outfitted with an anti-skid rubber bottom. It also converts to a handy carrying case--the unit folds in for protected transport and storage.

Rugged construction and ease of use make Humminbird fishfinders a favorite of anglers worldwide. The built-in Contour XD chart covers the contiguous U.S.A. coastline and inland lakes and rivers. On the coast, this clearly shows features as small as canals, and many coastal navigation lights. Inland, the Contour XD features virtually all recreational lakes and rivers, plus hundreds of thousands of small lakes that dont appear on other charts. In other words, your lake is likely to be there! Internal memory has a capacity of 2,750 waypoints, 45 routes, and 50 tracks of 20,000 points each. Optional network modules include an external GPS antenna, WeatherSense barometer, wireless sonar link, Cannon Link for control of downrigger, Interlink for multiple units, and radar.
